These projects were made at Makerspace Nanaimo using our Laser Cutter.
Makerspace Nanaimo logo in plywood
- 2019-01-19, Jordan P & Chris G
- Cut: 75% 25 mm/s, scan 30% 250 mm/s, vector engrave min 10% max 30% 250 mm/s
LASER PC panel
- 2019-01-29, Mark S & Chris G
- Text: LASER - Arial, 3" tall
- Scan: Thunder laser 'anodized aluminum engrave' setting - 11% power, 200 mm/s (job took approx 50 mins)
- Engraved area had dark sticky residue after engraving - removed cleanly with isopropanol soaked paper towel.

- Dark engraving (too high of 'min power' - a lot of burn through in corners)

- Scan: 60% power, 200 mm/s. Cut: max 60%, min 10%, 200 mm/s
- Nice result - not very deep but nice and clear

- Scan: 60% power, 100 mm/s. Job time: 27m11s
- Very nice result. Rinsed with water, dried with compressed air.
Mirror backside first test: Penrose tile

- Looks great. Rubbing surface with scotchbrite pad to remove sharp edges causes some scratches on the glass surface.

- Scan: 500 mm/s @ 8, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60% power
- Cutting 60% power @ 10 mm/s not in the chart, but worked best
